Topics for ISTSE Projects Exam
Please Note: Students appearing for the first time this year are recommended to optionally subscribe to the ISTSE preparatory course to understand the exam pattern, indicative syllabus and sample questions/ mock test. It includes guidance for both exam types. It will help better their performance and efforts to succeed.
ISTSE preparatory course is free for Antariksh Club Members.
Grades 3-4
Exam Pattern: Astro Art Students will be given a Topic for drawing and painting at 9am on exam date on this page (www.antarikshsociety.com/istsep) Materials to be used: Students may use 4A Size/ Regular school drawing book page and colour materials of choice like sketch, water, pastel colours etc Submission Process: A) PROJECT Students need to upload PDF copy of two photograph of project. One of the projects done, another of student holding the project. upload button/ link will be shared on exam day. B) PROJECT INFORMATION Students will have to upload PDF of one page (long book page) explaining your project in handwriting/typing Upload must be done between 10.00 am-10.30 am. Indicative Topics: SOLAR SYSTEM/ GALAXIES/ PLANETS Ideas for Preps: Students are advised to research on the topics on internet and try making a few projects for practice. many STEM sites and Pinterest has such student project ideas. also, on the exam day students may use internet to get ideas for exact topic and make a project. We recommend joining the ISTSE preparatory course for first time participants. Results shall be announced in 4th week of January 2024
Grades 7-8
Exam Pattern: Rocket Model Making Students will be given a Topic for Model making at 9am on exam date on this page (www.antarikshsociety.com/istsep) Materials to be used: Students may use Paper, Card paper, Cardboard, cloth. NO METAL, PLASTICS allowed Submission: A) PROJECT Students need to upload PDF copy of two photograph of project. One of the projects done, another of student holding the project. upload button/ link will be shared on exam day. B) PROJECT INFORMATION Students will have to upload PDF of Two pages (long book page/A4) explaining your project in handwriting/typing Upload must be done between 10.00 am-10.30 am. Indicative Topics: Paper Models of PSLV/SPACE SHUTTLE/OTHER ROCKETS Ideas for Preps: Students are advised to research on the topics on internet and try making a few projects for practice. many STEM sites and Pinterest has such student project ideas. Grades 5-6
Exam Pattern: String Model (Danglers/ Hanging Art) Students will be given a Topic for Model making at 9am on exam date on this page (www.antarikshsociety.com/istsep) Materials to be used: Students may use Paper, Card paper, Cardboard, cloth. ribbons, ropes etc. NO METAL, PLASTICS allowed. No printouts allowed Submission Process: A] PROJECT Students need to upload PDF copy of two photograph of project.
